We are delighted to share that a joint venture, 'ICMR-NAMS National Biostatistics Helpline' for Postgraduate Students, has been launched on 5th September 2024. Both ICMR & NAMS recognize the critical role of Epidemiologists and Biostatisticians in medical research.

This facility would be a dedicated website with an online facility, supported by highly qualified biostatisticians and epidemiologists to help medical post- graduates with their thesis and young faculty members across the country to facilitate and resolve their queries about their research work.

This user-friendly FREE online portal, where researchers and MD students can submit their meeting requests, includes options to select preferred time slots and provide relevant information about the purpose of the meeting. Through the VC link, the expert will interact with the applicant. The interaction will last about 30 minutes and may be repeated multiple times. After every interaction, experts should briefly share their suggestions with the applicant through the portal itself. This could include appropriate sample size formulae, assumptions to calculate sample size, and resources for further guidance etc. We are pleased to endorse the joint ICMR-NAMS National Biostatistics Helpline for postgraduate students (BIOSAT LINE).

This initiative is expected to significantly help medical post-graduates with their thesis and young faculty members across the country.
